UNZIP, a dynamic travel agency, had carved their niche in promoting local tourism by organizing low-cost group trips within Tanzania. Being one of our esteemed clients, they boasted an enviable repertoire of content in the form of high-quality pictures and videos -essentially content was NOT a problem for these guys!
However, beneath the surface of their digital presence, there were areas requiring finesse and optimization as they were struggling to engage their audience effectively and build the necessary hype and stickiness around their service.

The Challenge
Despite having great imagery, UNZIP’s social media channels, particularly Instagram, lacked engagement. Their posts amassed likes but hardly any deep engagement like comments, conversations around travel, shares, or inquiries. Additionally, almost 99% of their business was coming from a WhatsApp group, which although effective -limited scalability.
Our Process
Initially, we analyzed top-performing posts to replicate their success, but it didn’t quite work. We then revamped our communication strategy, by encouraging travel enthusiasts to share personal experiences, and investing just the right amount in media buying to strengthen UNZIP’s presence.
The Outcome
Boom! With just that tiny mindset shift -UNZIP’s Instagram became a buzzing hub of engagement and community sharing. This not only fostered a sense of community but also drove leads and new customer enquiries; boosting revenues and allowing the company to scale from group trips to now organizing tailored private excursions.
