The Internet of Good Things, or “Mtandao wa Mambo Mazuri”, is a game-changing online platform backed by UNICEF and its partners. It’s packed with a wealth of resources that cover a spectrum of critical areas such as COVID-19 response, emergencies, immunization, education, mental health, and climate.    

What makes this platform a true gem is its mobile-readiness, offering localized and relevant content accessible via feature phones and smartphones alike, thus bridging the digital divide. The real magic, though, lies in the empowerment it bestows upon the youth.     

With the youth in mind, we crafted a campaign that positioned Mtandao wa Mambo Mazuri as a dynamic platform resonating with authentic content, addressing the voices, doubts, and aspirations of young individuals aged 13-24. By inviting them to contribute, share thoughts, and shape content, we’ve fostered a sense of ownership and belonging among our primary audience.

The Assignment

To develop a communication campaign that will be used to bring about more awareness for the IoGT platform and reinforce the use of IoGT in Tanzania amongst young people.

The Objective

Develop a wide variety of multimedia content in support of the brand awareness campaign, as well as content that will be used to demystify myths and gather information about Covid 19 vaccinations.

We Delivered

A human centered design approach that resulted in a comprehensive social behavioral change campaign that was content rich, community centric and drove meaningful engagement from the intended audience.

As a result, Mtandao wa Mambo Mazuri has not just become a repository of information; it’s a living, breathing digital space where young minds connect, share, learn, and grow, empowering them to shape their world.
